Arrival, occupying your room, hotel owner’s warm welcome to the guests
2nd day
Morning: our hotel escort guides you through the town
Afternoon: the hotel owner takes you on the “toy train” into the
Nationalpark Hohe Tauern.
3rd day
Day trip on the tour group bus (see excursion destinations for tour groups)
4th day
To the high altitude Panorama Plateau (1850 m) with hotel escort in the gondola cablecar
Excursion destinations for tour groups
- Kleinarl, Lake Jägersee. (appx. 1 hour drive)
- Lichtenstein Gorge, 15 km.(appx. ½ hour drive)
- Hüttschlag - end of valley, Nationalpark Hohe Tauern ride on hotel’s own “toy train”. (appx. 1 hour drive),
- Hallein, visiting salt mines (optional guided tour: 3000 years of salt mining in Hallein).
- Krimmler Waterfalls, Central Europe’s highest waterfalls. (1 ½ hour drive)
- Maltatal in Carinthia: Among the 40 largest dams in the world (appx 2 ½ hour drive)
- Kaprun – visit to the power plant, Austria’s largest (1 ½ hour drive)
- Salzkammergut, 4 lakes – roundabout tour, through Lammertal Valley
to Lakes Gosausee, Hallstättersee, Wolfgangsee, Wiestal reservoir.
- Drive to Goldegg am See, A stroll around the lake. Then a guided
tour of the castle. (Guided tours only in July and August). (appx. ¾
hour drive)
- Trip to the city of Salzburg, City guided tours can be organized if desired. (1 ½ hour drive)

Hike over high alpine pastures with hotel owner, stopover at a hut

Departure
- Hochkönig drive via Zell am See, Saalfelden, Maria Alm, Mühlbach am
Hochkönig (to Arthurhaus at 1500 m) and return via Bischofshofen
(stopover at pilgrimage church in Maria Alm)
- Dachstein drive: via Radstadt, Mandling, Schladming, Ramsau am
Dachstein, to Filzmoos (stopover possibility at Oberhofalm in Filzmoos)
via Eben back to Grossarl.
- Drive to Bad Ischl, visit of emperor’s villa or the Technical Museum of Vehicles. (appx. 2 hour drive)
- Werfen - Guided tour of Castle Hohenwerfen. Demonstration of predatory birds and visit to weapons at the Ice Giants
World (appx. ¾ hour drive)
- Excursion to Badgastein and Böckstein. Gold and silver used to be
mined in Böckstein, today they are medical/remedial caves. Visit to
miners’ museum (former gold mine). (appx. 1 ¾ hour drive)
- Drive via Radstadt - Obertauern to St. Michael im Lungau,
possibility to visit “Castle Moosham”. (hunting castle). (appx. 1 ¾
hour drive)
