Brook trout, rainbow trout, char and the rarely seen silver-shimmering
alpine salmon (up to 120 cm long) fill the mountain and glacial
streams. But sometimes this activity has a “catch” - namely, for
anglers in Grossarl. Children can often catch fish to rival those of
their parents. So off you go!
For the sporting angler...
... since summer 1986,
we have offered a unique fishing opportunity in the far reaches of the
Grossarl Valley at the edge of the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern. The
crystal clear mountain water from Schödertal Valley and the Keeskogel
Glacier provide an excellent habitat for our local brook trout.
For hobby anglers...
... Lake Erlensee in Grossarl
is especially well suited for hobby fishermen. There you will find
brook trout, rainbow trout and char. Children can often catch fish to
rival those of their parents.
