In addition to the abundance of attractions for families in and around Grossarl, the hotel’s own activity programme awaits - exclusively for hotel guests. Get to know the other families and enjoy a variety of activities together, from hiking to pony rides or excursions.

Once a week, set off with your hosts to discover the most beautiful walking and hiking trails in Grossarl.
Auhof scenic train
Take the scenic train all the way to the valley head
Calling children and parents, all aboard! With the Auhof scenic train, you can take a leisurely ride from the family hotel in Grossarl to the valley head, which is about 15 km away. From there it is only a few minutes’ walk to the impressive Kreealm waterfall and the wildlife reserve. This is followed by a cosy get-together around the campfire for a spot of hot dog roasting. This excursion is also suitable for families with toddlers.

Pony day complete with pony rides
Saddle up, kids! The pony ranch is just a stone’s throw from the family-run Hotel Auhof. We hold pony days at Auli’s Ranch all year round, where our friendly horses are groomed, fed and saddled. For our youngest guests, the guided pony ride is the highlight of the day. We also offer riding lessons in addition to pony rides.
Bike rental at the Auhof - whizz through the valley
Why not go on a cycling tour during your summer holiday in Austria? At Hotel Auhof, e-bikes for adults are available to rent for € 44,00/day. Bike helmets are also included in the rental price. Children’s bikes can be rented from the sports shop next door.
